Worldcoin aims to build a global identity and financial network for everyone. Its main feature is World ID, a digital ID that confirms you’re a real person while keeping your privacy safe.
To join, users download the World App and visit an Orb device to verify their identity. The Orb checks that each user is human and unique, and all images are deleted automatically unless users agree to save them.
Verified users can claim free WLD tokens regularly (not available in the U.S.). WLD is used for payments, rewards, and governance, letting users take part in decisions about the project’s future.
WLD is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and most transactions happen on the Optimism network.
